Galaxian, Midway's new space wars video game, features a full color monitor and is available in a 1 or 2 player upright or cocktail table model.
The player, controlling the Galaxian defenders of the Earth, must destroy a convoy of aliens that are equally determined to annihilate him by firing missiles. The defender must protect himself without the aid of barricades. He must shoot down not only alien army regulars, but also out-maneuver and destroy enemy fighter escort ships that peel off from the main body of alien squadron at random.
